Team Vitality Wins Gamers8 2023 CS:GO Tournament

The Gamers8 2023 CS:GO started on 16^th August in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with some of the best teams from around the world competing for a massive total prize pool of $1,000,000 USD (INR 8,31,57,000).

After five days of intense action, the tournament concluded yesterday on 20^th August following a down-to-the-wire thriller between ENCE and Team Vitality.

ENCE gave its absolute best in the grand final but Vitality managed to successfully come back after facing an early setback, slowly but surely moving towards the finish line one round at a time.

Vitality not only lifted the trophy in Riyadh but also walked away with the lion's share of the total prize pool, $400,000 USD, the team's second biggest victory this year in terms of prize money won.

This event followed a simple single elimination bracket which guaranteed no second chances to any competing team. It made each and every match a do-or-die affair, leaving almost no room for committing any errors or mistakes.

Despite the challenge, ENCE speed ran its way to the grand final, not dropping a single map in the process. Meanwhile, Vitality also had a near-flawless run dropping just one game in the semifinals against G2 Esports.

In the first game, ENCE crashed through Vitality's defense on Anubis, taking a huge lead in the first half which it easily converted into a win shortly after. The team showed the French organization how to defend successfully on the map by stringing five rounds together and taking a 1-0 lead.

Vitality kept its cool as the team proceeded to take ENCE on its strongest map Mirage. As expected Vitality took the lead in the first half with solid executes and finished the job on defense to pull the series down to the third and final map.

Just one game away from lifting the trophy, both teams went head-to-head on Nuke where a stiff battle endured in the first 15 rounds, ENCE managing to take a one round lead. Unfortunately, that was pretty much the end of the road for the team as Vitality put on a formidable defense that left ENCE in tatters.

With this, the grand final of Gamers8 2023 CS:GO tournament came to an end and Team Vitality walked way as the champion. However, it was ENCE that surprised many with its top-tier performance, which included a win over Heroic who is in brilliant form.
