Yesterday the Elder Scrolls Online website let it be known that Zenimax’s plans for the game in 2019 will be officially revealed live on Twitch tomorrow (Tuesday) at 5:00 PM EST.

The cat's out of bag! Ready yourself, adventurer. A massive announcement for The Elder Scrolls Online is on the way! Find out how you can learn about the upcoming ESO Chapter and what's coming to the game in 2019.

Earlier in the day, the Russian website ElderScrolls.net published a datamine that allegedly beat Zenimax to the punch. You can read it in English on ResetEra. If the datamine is accurate, 2019 is going to be a very big year for ESO.

The first bit of news from the datamine is that a new chapter on the scale of Morrowind and Summerset called Elsweyr is on the way. Elsweyr is the home of the Khajiit, ESO’s playable race of cat people. “The cat’s out of the bag”, indeed.

That’s not all. It appears that Elsweyr will add a new character class to the game—Necromancers. Introducing a new class as part of a major chapter release would not be out of character for ESO as the Warden class arrived with the Morrowind chapter in 2017. The datamine doesn’t include any details on how the class will be configured but more information may be revealed during the Twitch broadcast.

Last but not least, there will be dragons. From the datamine, “ESO reaches new heights of storytelling with a war against the Dragons that unfolds and builds over four quarterly releases to an unexpected climax." Not only do dragons appear to be inbound, but ESO is going large on storytelling by tying all four of their quarterly releases into one long story. With the possible exceptions of the main Vestige and the three Alliance story lines that were in the game at launch, ESO hasn’t attempted storytelling on this scale before. The game has always featured superior writing, however, and this four-part epic could be awesome.

The Elder Scrolls Online celebrates it’s fifth anniversary this year and Creative Director Rich Lambert promised that 2019 is “going to be a huge year” in Tamriel. If the datamine is accurate, he wasn’t kidding. We can find out from Lambert himself tomorrow on Twitch.
