Fall Guys Is Now The Most Downloaded PS Plus Game

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is shaping up to be a big success for Devolver Digital. The publisher has revealed some big Steam sales figures, just as Sony reveals the game is the most-downloaded PlayStation Plus game of all time.

Sony tweeted the stat, saying that the wacky battle royale platformer has reached a record for the most downloads on a global basis. Meanwhile, Devolver announced via Twitter that the game has crossed 7 million sales on Steam, so it's no slouch on PC either.

The success on PS Plus makes sense. Plus subscriptions have generally continued to steadily grow so more people have access to the game than some past offerings. But Fall Guys has also managed to capture the public's attention, leading to loads of memes and game crossovers.

It looks as if Fall Guys will continue to build momentum. We recently learned that a mobile version has been licensed for China, and developer Mediatonic is preparing to outline its Season 2 plans at Gamescom. The studio says it has ambitious plans moving forward in general, hoping to make the game feel new every time you play with loads of content updates.
