Ubisoft's extreme sports game Steep is getting even more new content and features, including an expansion themed around the X-Games. The publisher will release a new X Games Pass on October 30 that brings players to the X Games Village in Alaska.

Here, players can take part in all manner of extreme sports challenges that you see on TV including Big Air, SuperPipe, and Slopestyle. Beating the X Games events unlocks new challenges that Ubisoft did not share any details on in its press release. You can watch a teaser trailer for the X-Games DLC in the video embedded above.

In addition to the X-Games content, the X Games Pass comes with a new filter that makes the game look like its from the '90s. There are also new Rocket Wings challenges coming. The '90s filter arrives on December 4, with the Rocket Wings content coming on January 10. People who own the X Games Pass get to play one week before everyone else.

The X Games Pass is priced at $15 USD, and it will be available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. A version of Steep was in development for Nintendo Switch, but it has been canceled.

Ubisoft also announced a Steep X Games Gold Edition ($40 USD) that comes with the base game, the X Games Pass, and the previously released Season Pass Year One that comes with a number of in-game extras, as well as Steep credits to purchase more customisation options.

Steep is currently available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. For more, check out GameSpot's full review, an except of which is available below.

"Steep is a game that's never really sure what it is, and its vagueness and lack of meaningful rewards causes it to suffer in any comparisons to the likes of SSX," reviewer Leif Johnson said. "But there's a quiet thrill to exploring the Matterhorn and Mont Blanc, and snowed-in Alpine villages. It's a strangely attractive approach for all its qualifications, and there's a constant sense that Ubisoft is channeling George Mallory's famous response when asked why he wanted to scramble up Mount Everest: 'Because it's there.'"
